Your Chihuahua puppy can come home two ways: you pick up from our home, or we fly with your puppy and hand it to you at your airport. Either way, your puppy is never alone with a stranger, and we never ship puppies as cargo.

Why We Never Ship Chihuahua Puppies as Cargo
A Chihuahua puppy at 8 to 10 weeks often weighs under 2 pounds. In a cargo hold it can face cold, noise and long delays with nobody to offer food. Tiny puppies burn through their energy fast, and a missed meal under stress can drop blood sugar to dangerous levels. In the cabin, one of us is with your puppy the whole trip, offering food and water and keeping it warm. Our teacup size puppies often stay with us until 10 to 12 weeks, and they travel only once they are eating reliably on their own, with Nutri-Cal or a glucose gel and a written feeding schedule packed for the trip.
Picking Up Your Chihuahua Puppy From Our Home
Pickup is free and it is the option we recommend if you can make the drive. You meet the mother, see the puppy room and get a 20 minute walkthrough of feeding, potty routine and signs of low blood sugar. Directions are on our contact page. Bring a small carrier, a towel and, for long drives, a second person so someone can sit with the puppy.
We Fly Your Chihuahua Puppy to You
If you live too far to drive, one of us flies with your puppy and hands it to you at your nearest major airport. Your puppy rides in the cabin in a soft, airline-approved carrier under the seat, never in the hold. We do not hand puppies to hired nannies or transport companies, so the person who raised your puppy is the person who brings it to you.
Before the trip we take care of the vet health certificate and book a direct flight wherever possible. We meet you just outside security in the arrivals area, go over feeding and the low blood sugar signs in person, and hand over the puppy's records and starter food. Most trips are there and back in one day.

Preparing for Delivery Day
Have your home set up before the puppy arrives: a crate or pen, a warm covered bed, pee pads and the food we send. Our Chihuahua puppy checklist lists everything. Plan a quiet first evening and keep visitors to a minimum for the first two days.
